SIMPLE HOISIN GLAZED WINGS, frugal, easy, kid-friendly

A Super easy wings recipe that's high in flavour but lower in fat...
The easiest, most satisfying wings ever

Kids will love these; they're crispy, smokey, sweet and very more-ish.

It's another wallet-friendly recipe that's a doddle to put together.  Seldom has something so deliciously layered in flavours been so easy to make.

As always, buy the best chicken you can from a source you trust.

Save time and energy -- make double the recipe and put one lot aside for an away-day picnic.

Ingred:
    750gm/26oz chicken wings

    3-4 tbsp Hoisin sauce*

    sesame seeds

2 oranges, cut into 6 wedges

Method:
  1. Preheat oven to 180c/350f/gas5
  2. Arrange wings on a rack in a baking tray
  3. Cook in the top of the oven 20 mins
  4. Remove from oven, paint with hoisin sauce, return to oven but in the centre this time
  5. Bake 15-20 mins, brushing twice more with sauce; on final brush, sprinkle generously with sesame seeds
  6. Arrange on serving platter and squeeze the juice from the orange wedges over the wings
Tip:
  • save energy by baking new potatoes that have been lightly oiled at the same time
                                                                                                                                             *67 uses Lee Kum Yee
